EA has just announced via Twitter (see above) the start date for the Battlefield 3 beta, which will commence in October. Initially, we had expected the beta to begin this Summer. A following tweet described the beta as “We expect Closed Beta” — as a reply to whether the beta was open (public) or closed.
Last year, owners of the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor were promised a beta for Battlefield 3, however, most expected a public beta of the game at some point. Since the beta is so late (October), and a launch date set for sometime in November, it looks as if there won’t be any time for a public beta.
[UPDATE] Turns out the Twitter account is not an official EA account — EA hasn’t announced anything regarding the beta. Sorry for the confusion.
