Fantasy Fight Friday

It is Friday, and you know what that means. Fantasy Fight Friday time. What is Fantasy Fight Friday you ask? It’s simple, we pit two video game characters against each other, and you the reader chooses the winner. Sounds simple? Because it is.
This whole thing comes down to you the readers to decide who would win if these two characters ever met up in. We give you some basic stats and abilities of the two, but leave the decision up to you.
Enough wasting your time with that, let’s get right into shall we. These week we have relatives of each other, who are very good at assassinating people. While they would probably never fight, even though meeting is impossible, it would make for a great fight. This week we have. Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad vs. Ezio Auditore da Firenze from the Assassin’s Creed series of games.
Name: Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad
Age: 25
Place of Birth: Jerusalem
Altaïr was raised at the Assassin’s fortress at Masyaf, and possessed incredible skills, quickly rising among the ranks of the Order. A cold and objective person, he fully devoted himself to the cause he chose to pursue. Altaïr had a rebellious nature; he was impetuous, overconfident, demanding, arrogant, self-centered and impatient. After the failure at Solomon’s Temple, being demoted to Novice and sent after nine targets, Altaïr began listening to the final words of his victims, their revelations involving them and their justifications for their deeds.
Traits:
– Altaïr was raised to be an Assassin from birth, obtaining the rank of Master Assassin by his twenty-fifth year
– Altaïr was born to Assassin parents
– After the death of Al Mualim(his teacher) Altaïr inherited the title of Grand Master
– Altaïr was one of the most respected and feared Assassins in the Order
– Was a master assassin and instructor, capable of extraordinary acrobatic feats, adept in social stealth, and fully apt in the application of deadly arts
– Trained extensively, he was able to overcome any obstacle, human or terrain
– Was also trained in stealth assassination techniques, hand to hand and weapons combat, blade throwing, climbing, urban acrobatics, eavesdropping, interrogation, pick pocketing and anything else that may help complete a mission. Besides the physical prowess, he also had extensive knowledge of the Holy Land politics and religion
– As a high member of the Order, Altaïr possessed an array of weapons at his disposal, comprised of a longsword, a short blade, throwing knives and the iconic Hidden Blade.
Name: Ezio Auditore da Firenze
Age: Late 20′s
Place of Birth: Florence
Ezio was raised as a young Florentine nobleman, living during the 15th and 16th Century. Unlike his ancestor Altaïr, he was brought up without knowing of the Assassins’ existence, or of his heritage. A seducer of women and a playful man, Ezio possessed acrobatic skills far beyond those of his peers, barring his brother. He came from an affluent background and had many friends until the deaths of his father and brothers drove him out of Florence.
Traits:
– Was not raised as an Assassin, was unaware of his Assassin heritage until the age of 17
– Learning of his heritage from his uncle, Mario Auditore, Ezio began his Assassin training
– Saves the cities of Florence, Venice, and later Rome from the Templars’ wrath
– Pronounced the Grand Master after the death of Rodrigo Borgia
– Initially, Ezio allowed his emotions to get the best of him, going so far as to disrespect the corpse of Vieri de’ Pazzi just after his death
– Was both a highly skilled Assassin and adept Grand Master of the Order
– Learned and developed a vast array of skills’ such as pick-pocketing, blending, armed and unarmed combat, alternative or multiple weapon attacks, stealth and public assassination techniques, free-running and long-distance combat, he was able to use a variety of weapons
– Ezio shows himself as a much more skilled free-runner than his ancestor Altaïr, being able to do certain actions much more quickly and efficiently
